Svätopluk Mikyta’s presentation

On invitation by the Studio of Young Artists Association (FKSE) and klorofill independent publishing house, Svätopluk Mikyta Slovakian artist will hold a presentation of his drawings, collages, objects and installations at Labor. Svätopluk Mikyta was born in 1973 in Čadca, located in the former Czechoslovakia. He currently lives and works in Bratislava and Ilija. From 1995 to 2000, he completed his studies of graphics and ceramics at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design and Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. He has received a number of prizes for his work; in 2008, he won the Oscar Čepan Award and the Tatra’s Tiger Award. He was also awarded a DAAD scholarship and participated in residency programs in Bem and New York. He has
exhibited in numerous cities, including Krakow, Vienna, New York, Cologne, Prague, and Oslo.
