Blažíček & Blazsek (Martin Blažíček (CZ) www.blazicek.net / Blazsek András (HU) amigzaj.blogspot.com) Martin Blažíček film/video maker, multimedia performer. He is the founding member of expanded cinema groups Ultra and Mikroloops. He teaches at the Center for Audiovisual Studies at the Film Academy of Performing Arts and The Institue of Intermedia Prague.
András Blazsek, a young representative of sound artists, finished his studies at the Hungarian Academy University of Arts in 2009. Co-founder of the group Besorolás Alatt (Unrated).
The temporary duo of a Czech and a Hungarian artist will realize a performance written especially for the +3dB Festival. András Blazsek: audio, Martin Blažíček: video.
The automatic sound of the tape recorders will be amplified by electronic tools and computer, and the digitalized images, from 16 and 35 mm film, will be screened beside. All of the visual and audial informations are converted from analog to digital, and this change, this “noise” gives the base for both of the artists.

Panel discussion with the initiation of the last year students of ELTE Art History Institute, including the aim of generating a communicational platform between young artists and art historians with the active participation of the audience. The topic of the discussion are the theoretical questions implied by the Festival, as interpretational possibilities and limits of the artistic practices on the borderline between music and fine art. We invite the audience for a collective disputation.
