Luca Markó has asked eight people who all relate to her in different ways and are of different ages to read one of her dreams out loud. The dream is always about the particular person and is in a way meant to be read by the person.

She was led by questions such as, ‘Are the people in her dreams identical to the real ones in the videos?’, ‘How do others exist within us or in our subconscious?’, ‘How can someone be present and away at the same time, especially when two people are lying in one bed and the metaphysical loneliness gets to the one, who’s staying longer awake?’

In the exhibition, eight dreams will be presented as archetypes, selected from the collection of Markó’s regularly documented dreams. The video installation can be viewed as play between fiction and reality, with the reconstructed dreams and their main characters. In the meantime, what becomes even more visible is the artist herself, as the visitors peak in the personal dreams, presented in the white cube gallery space.

The exhibited works are part of a diploma work made at the Moholy-Nagy University (media-design BA).
